Our meetings take place
THE SECOND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH

These meetings are open to anyone who is interested in learning how to dowse, or becoming a better dowser.   You do not need to be a member of the CSD.   Your dowsing will improve merely by attending our meetings.   Dowsing is a form of energy.  This kind of energy is caught, not taught.

Our meetings will include activities to practice your dowsing and guest speakers who will share their experiences and teach you new skills.   You will have a chance to meet others who you can help or who can help you.    One of the best parts of these groups is meeting synergistic people.

Requested donation (to cover costs):
$5 per meeting for Toronto chapter members
$7 per meeting for non members of the Toronto chapter
$20 per year for membership in the Toronto chapter

If you can not afford this donation, please make arrangements with us before the meeting.

Do come and have fun,  grow with us and enjoy the energy.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can
make a difference.  In deed, it is the only thing that ever has."
                                 - Margaret Mead -

Note:  There is a chance that I may not be at the February meeting.  If so there may also not be a February newsletter. Ensure you remind yourself of our March meeting.

Post on your refrigerator:              TORONTO DOWSERS
February 13th             March  13th             April   17th
[The April meeting is pushed up a week as the Church needs our space.]

Sunday December 17th, 2000, Toronto Star:   Front page had an article on dowsing.  They featured Drainworks, a plumbing company, whose owner uses dowsing to find elusive water pipes underground because despite some very expensive and sophisticated electronic equipment, this equipment does not necessarily work well with old property.
I spoke with Bill Taylor, the Toronto Star Reporter who told me that one of his colleagues used Drainworks and was impressed with what they did, told him and Bill wrote the story.  Nice job, Bill and thank you!   Are you interested in attending our convention at the end of June?

What Happened at our meeting:

What we will try to do before the presentation itself for 10 minutes is to have a 10 minute Q&A session on any dowsing related question.  Margaret Ball will be answering your questions during these mini Q&A's.   Margaret got [well deserved] triple billing at this meeting as she told us about her upcoming workshop(s), answered these questions and was our speaker.

A dowser since 1980, Margaret uses homeopathy and radionics in her practice.  And Astrology.   Margaret says that Dowsing is the "Kingpin" as all of her work is done with dowsing.  Here are some of the many enlightening tidbits that Margaret shared with us:

- Hook up with whatever your Higher Power is.   "For me I just go to the Head Honcho.  I figure he passes it on to others."   Shield yourself so you are not going to let any negative energy come in from any other source..
- It is important that when you are working with possible energies that you do keep yourself clear.
- If you work with people DO NOT work from the solar plexus chakra.  ALWAYS work from the THIRD EYE (Ajna) chakra otherwise you may become ill.  Focus from this third eye chakra.
- Several people who have polarity problems crave lamb.  Eating  lamb helps to rebalance them.

Margaret may be bringing a biofeedback device for people to try, before and after meetings.  We will have a sign up sheet for this.

I was feeling crummy and irritable most of the day and this continued in to the beginning of the evening.   Then I was reminded it was the time of the full moon.  Then I walked by Sylvia Garratt and when I said hello to her felt such a feeling of peace and well being.   The transformation to positive energies was complete when I later saw June Allen.   This is a reminder to me that when we are feeling that we are in crummy negative energy and are having trouble getting out of it, it helps to be around those who have a higher positive energy field.   And the more we are in such positive high energy fields, the more this becomes our field as well.   This kind of energy is caught, not taught.  Thank you ladies, I now know who to go to boost my battery when the charge runs low.

Eva Angyal has been monitoring the level of the energy we raised last month (using Raymon Grace's technique).   She said that it has remained steady however lately there have been holes in it.  She has been repairing them.  Thank you, Eva!

We did not have refreshments at this meeting because Shelley had another meeting to attend.  However Louise Yarek, Lisa Jorgenson and Arthur Clark  very kindly --- AGAIN!!! -- brought some for us so we were lucky on that account.   We still need some one or some ones to do this. Why is this so hard?   Why is the energy not working with this?   Arthur your tuna sandwiches are great.  What is your secret?

Margaret Ball was our effervescent ebullient entertaining  :-)  speaker.    Her topic was  "Asking the Right Question".  She said that the dowsing system always answers the question correctly.  If we think our dowsing is wrong --- we just may not have asked the right one, or, we are interpreting its answer incorrectly.  Asking the right question the right way is one of the cornerstones of successful dowsing and Margaret gave us many examples of this as she proceeded to teach us through the stories she told us.

The brain is separated in to the right brain and the left brain.  The Left Brain handles Logical Functions (LL: Left/Logical) and the Right Brain handles Intuitive Functions.  When you ask a Dowsing Question what happens is that:
She was once asked to dowse a Looney to see if it came up Heads or Tails when it was flipped.  6 times she got a clear answer when she got Heads but received a kind of  fuzzy answer when she got Tails.  Upon examination of the looney she realized that the Heads side was the Head of the Queen and the other side is a Loon --- not a clear tail after all.   (But it ends the telling of this tale.)

Margaret took her car in to the mechanic and through "map dowsing" her car found out where the problem lay.  She told the mechanic where it was, he looked at her funny but found out she was right.  The next time she came in, the mechanic said "Ok Mrs. Ball, where's the problem?"

Use your pendulum to determine the best time to go to the dentist or doctor.  If Mars is squaring Saturn you will be very sensitive to pain at that time.  Ask "What is the best day for me to see the dentist?  What is the best time of the day?"   If you check out your astrology chart you will see there are correlations between your (pendulum) dowsing and your chart.

If you read the Astrology section in the paper, put your hand over it and ask "Is there anything here that pertains to me (today) (next week)?"  This, too, is a form of what we call map dowsing.   What you are doing is "chunking down", i.e., separating something in half and asking about each half.  When you get a positive answer on one half you separate that half in to two halves and ask about each half and so forth.   If you want to check the accuracy of this technique, go backwards.  See if there was something important for you, say, yesterday, last week.  Margaret prefers the astrology section in the Globe rather than the Toronto Star.

When she sees clients, Margaret asks permission to ask about certain questions.  If she receives a negative response she will often go to their astrological chart to find out what kind of an experience they have to go through first before they can receive the answer to that question.

Supplements:  Dowse daily for what you need as your needs will change on a daily basis.  You do not need the same supplements, in the same amounts, every single day.

Dowse to see if the supplement you are buying is the right one for you.  A lot of Vitamin C is made from corn and a lot of corn is genetically engineered.  Also, ask if the Vitamin E you are buying comes from a natural source and if so what per cent of it is natural.

If she is coming down with a cold her dowsing will tell her to take Oregano oil (internally) as well as Capsicum (red Pepper) --- in a capsule.  She follows this by a dollop of yogurt.   A few drops of Oregano oil in your humidifier will keep down fungus.

Dowse to see how often you need to water your plants and for their placement.  Some plants don't like to be near others.

If you are dowsing in a supermarket and if your dowsing is not working right, it might be off if you are near equipment such as freezers.  This influences your polarity.

Many were delighted and surprised to find out about Stick Pad Dowsing which comes to us  from Radionics.    This is a good technique to use when you want to dowse unobtrusively, do not have your pendulum, or are taking a test with multiple choice and true/false answers.

Using a smooth surface, preferably made of wood, with your dominant hand, and the pads of the finger tips, lightly and quickly run your fingertips over the smooth surface --- preferably with the grain of the wood.   Ask a question whose answer you know to be positive.   Get a feeling for the feeling of your fingertips.  Then ask a question whose answer you know to be negative.  Get a feeling for the feeling of your fingertips.   The question with the positive response should elicit a smooth feeling.  The question with the negative response ought to elicit a sticky feeling.   You ought to be able to do this on the surface or underside of a desk or a tabletop.  Eva Angyal  told us she also does this on tile.

Dowse when you are studying for exams.  Arthur Clark said he would review his notes and stop at certain subjects and study those subjects.  Those subjects would then be on the exam.

When Margaret bought her car she cut out pictures of cars, laid them out and dowsed for the car that would be the best one for her.  She was told that a Honda would be the best car for her.  So she went to the Honda dealer.   She wanted to pay the best (lowest) possible price so to establish her the credentials of her ability with the salesperson she dowsed in her head "Is there anything wrong with that person that they will recognize?"  She scanned the man (after receiving permission, of course) and found that he had a problem with his shoulder and told him.  Margaret says "His eyes got big as bears."   She got a great price on the car.

More and more, Margaret practices Deviceless Dowsing.   She does this in her Third Eye.  What Margaret does is she puts up (visualizes) a screen in her third eye area.  Then she puts a pendulum on the screen and she asks a question.  If it swings to the right, her answer is a "yes", if it swings to the left, her answer is a "no".  If it stays in the middle she will ask if there is to be an answer at this time.  If the answer is no, she will ask, "Will there be an answer in    X     days,      X    weeks, etc."

She provided handouts that listed elements (minerals in the body).  We dowsed to find out if we had excesses or deficiencies of these elements.   We put our hand over the page and asked "Is there an excess / deficiency of any element here in my body?"   and chunked down.  Then we went to another page listing the systems of the body and asked "In which system is this excess / deficiency manifesting itself?"   "For how long have you had this excess / deficiency?"  (weeks, months years, etc.)   Et cetera.

Margaret mentioned to us that there is a controversy among homeopaths whether or not paper remedies work.  The Classical homeopaths say that paper remedies are nonsense.  To give you an idea of what Paper Remedies are, there is a homeopath who works on an Indian Reservation.  She finds out what they need, writes the remedy down on a piece of paper, they put it in their pocket and it works.   [Note: This is a form of radionics.]

Toronto Dowsers are enjoying using Klaus' Life Light Rings which were originally brought out by Slim Spurling.  You can contact Klaus [Stalchuss] at: (519) 749-0115 and make arrangements with him to buy them.   He can mail you all but the extra large rings.  For more information on them you can go to:    www.earthtransitions.com/mechanics.com
SAVE MONEY WITH PHONE CARDS
I just found out about phone cards last month!   I have Bell's Long Distance service that costs me 10 cents a minute in Canada and 20 to the US.   In non prime time.  Have I been living in a cave or something?  I found a phone card that costs me  $.04 per minute 24 hours day / 7 days week to the US and Canada!!!  So I totaled up my last bill.  What cost me $78 during my last billing period with Bell --- would have cost me $13!!!!! ---  if I had used the phone card.  If you like, call me and I'll explain to you how this works and why.   (I used to work in telecommunications.)

PRACTICE GROUPS
Again, dowse to see if there is anything in this newsletter you need.  It might be one of these Practice Groups.  That's what happened to someone last month, and ....

Eva Angyal would like to start a Practice Group at her home in the Yonge and Finch area.  I was out there a few months ago and loved the energy she created.  It felt as if faeries were dancing in the back yard.    Do call her at (416) 223-6574 and grow a group with her.

Erika Gilbert lives in Thornhill and would love for people to visit with her, chat, dowse and check out her gadgets.   She has several of radiation diffusers and Dr. Joseph Oberbach's radiation shields.  She is understanding more about the dangers of radiation and electricity and how to counterbalance them.   Do phone her at (905) 883 - 5113.

I had some people at my place before the end of the year.  I received several phone calls on this, it "felt" right to have 3 of the people here and 2 were able to make it.  The 2 women had long term experience with horses and real estate.  It felt for me as if a purpose of that evening were for them to get to connect.

What do you do in a practice group?   I don't know.  But what seems to happen in the half dozen or so occasions I've connected with people to practice dowsing -- we get together, try to practice something but it really doesn't fly.   So one of us says "I know" and tries something.  Then the other person (or people) offer suggestions.   That's what it seems to be about.  Somebody has a need and the others help that person improve their technique, or questions.   And the more informal the better.   Again, if it is frivolous, you might not get a response.  There has to be a real need.

Anyone else?  Let me know and I'll put your info here.  Anyone in Mississauga?   Scarborough?

Here are some Dowsing Internet Sites:

- The Canadian Society of Dowsers:     www.CanadianDowsers.org
- A Dowsing Practice game from the ASD:    www.dowsers.org/games/dowsethemines.htm
- Here is a great portal, similar to Yahoo.com but  for creative types.  It's called Dowse!
"  Dowse is the starting point for the work and play of creative  people on the web - a resource for writers to begin their research from, for example, or a place where artists can seek like-minds.
Sculptor, musician, scientist or anyone with an enquiring, creative mind,  dowse is your gateway to the web."    www.Dowse.com

-  Remember when Joan DeNew told us about Herbert Parker?   You can find his charts at:     www.members.tripod.com/~Reid_J/earthc.html
(Hint: Set your printer mode to Landscape (horizontal) rather than Portrait (vertical) printing)
- Next:  "Letter to Robin", by Walt Woods.  This is  the definitive well respected oft recommended classical "How To" publication on Dowsing.  Walt is a past president of the ASD.  This publication, also sold by our group for $4 but downloadable here for your use, began as a letter to Robin as a result of  her inquiry on What is Dowsing all about and How do you do it?.  Walt has been refining this letter for 10 years and you can find it at:    www.discoverit.com/at/asd/robin/html#19
Highly Gifted Children:   Do you have a highly unusual child?  grandchild?   niece/nephew?   A child who seems to know everything, is highly psychic, has a golden aura and might be physically over active in school?   Unusual today, expect to see more of them tomorrow.  They are being called  Indigo Children or Super Psychic Children of China.  These children need our help.   Not all of them are in compassionate parenting situations.   To find out more about them, or to connect your child with one of them go to:  www.psykids.net

[In our basic dowsing classes we learn how to use a pendulum as well as several techniques.   I have found that there is not enough of an emphasis on how to prepare yourself for a dowsing session such as being in a quiet, balanced, focused calm mental state, where you are not attached to the outcome of the answer and where you are not pushing your answers with your mind.    Pat agreed to give us a presentation on developing these skills.]
Pat will cover the following topics with us:
Pat Prevost is a Human & Animal Wellness Facilitator whose practice is based on dowsing for holistic wellness in the subtle bodies of the life force energy field.  She specializes in the dynamics of the human-animal bond using flower, spirit & environmental essences to balance any imbalances found.

Pat  is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Recognized Therapeutic Touch Practitioner, Subtle Energy Transference (S.E.T. for Life) Practitioner, Certified Dowser for Wellness & Geopathic Stress & Vibrational Essence Producer & Practitioner.  Pat teaches, speaks & writes on many different
holistic subjects & approaches her practice with both animals & humans from a body, mind & spirit model.  She is also one of the founding members of AVEC - the Association of Vibrational Essences of Canada.

Do you have a dowsing technique you'd like to talk about, show us, have us know about?   Would you like to spend 15 minutes at a meeting telling this to the group?   If there is something you think would be neat for us to know about, please let me know ASAP.  If you do not want to present it, that's fine, somebody else will.  What is important is that we receive the teaching.  N'est-ce pas?   So   pleeezzzeee   ----   Do tell.

I may not see you in February.  I know you'll be in good hands with Alicja and everyone else and want to hear all your stories as to what happened.   Thank you for all the fun you're letting me have with you, your kind words and your support.
