In conversation with Dr. James Lovelock,  Tuesday, May 26, 2009 ,  8:30 am - 11 am,
Glenn Gould Studio, CBC, 250 Front Street W..  $75/person + GST

Dr. James Lovelock – founder of the Gaia Hypothesis, Fellow of the Royal Society and author of over 200 scientific papers -- has become increasingly apocalyptic in his planetary predictions.  As the climate warms and the carbon content of the atmosphere soars, Lovelock argues that a dire change in our environment is inevitable in the absence of a profound and immediate change in our energy future. Following his presentation, Dr. Lovelock will address questions from the audience. To reserve tickets: events@corporateknights.ca, 416-203-4674 x3, or come down to Suite 121

SUMMER  2009!
DO ENSURE THAT YOU GET OUT TO FARMERS MARKETS, COUNTY FAIRS,
LILY DALE, ETC. AND MAKE YOURSELF A SUPERB SUMMER!

ADMIN NOTES & 'STUFF'

This is our last newsletter until the fall
Until the September issue announcing the September meeting
September 8 or 15.
Which will also remind you of -- gulp! Membership renewal for October 1st!

OUR  MAY  19 MEETING:   Is the THIRD Tuesday in May, not the 2nd as we usually meet.  As this is the last meeting before the summer and a very special event, please DO MAKE an EXTRA effort to bring in some nice munchies so we can enjoy some finger food apres the presentation.  ("Nice" munchies?  What's that?  Just a reminder from my Mom, who, when giving directions on cooking a chicken would always start off with:  First you go to the store.  You buy a nice chicken....")   So please bring some "Nice" Munchies.  THANKS!

AND  !!!  Door Prizes!  Continues !    See comments somewhere below.  Prizes to be donated by -- our speakers!

TORONTO DOWSERS WALTER HUSZCZO LIBRARY ITEMS:   PLEASE RETURN all items you have borrowed from our library to/by the May meeting as we are planning on redoing our library numbering system and need to verify the inventory.

If there is an item you would really like to borrow, please let us know and we shall see if we can get it to you some time during the summer.
The library was named for our friend, contributor and father figure Walter Huszczo, of Burford, Ontario, who contributed so much to us before his untimely passing, December 6, 2003.   One of Walter's many passionate interests was good books and learning.

ASD Convention and Toronto Dowsers and YOU!   MEMBERS!:   I have been invited to be a speaker at the ASD Convention this summer, and, the Toronto Dowsers will also have a table in the vendor area.  I would like to do a display, something on the order of:  "These are YOUR Toronto Dowsers", featuring about 10-20 Toronto Dowsers, photos, who you are, what you do.  Those that I have in mind so far are:  Aleks Radojcic and Knowledge Products;  Herbie's Herbs;  Nita and her Chart Books; Joey Korn, Erika Wolff, Alicja, Margaret Ball, and a bunch more.   If  YOU would like to be included in this display, please let me know.   If you know a member who ought to be included please let me know.   I'm really excited about this.  Pretty good idea, huh?   Of course, as you know I am greatly graphically challenged, your practical help in bringing this concept to life shall be greatly appreciated.

GLENCOLTON FARMS?:  Michael Schmidt, Durham's controversial BioDynamic Dairy farmer, invited us to his farm, Glencolton Farms,  about 150 KM NW of the Yorkdale Mall.   We can probably get a larger vehicle that could fit a bunch of people.   I have not started to plan anything.  If you are interested in doing this:  June or July?  weekday or weekend --- please let me know.

COW SHARE:   There is a possibility of  a cow share operation whereby we can get the products of a cow when we purchase a share in one -- within 50 miles of the GTA.  Let me know if this interests you.

Who are we . . .   Where were we  . . .  Where are we going?

Our energy is changing.  Its been showing for the last 4-5 months and has really been bothering me because I could see it and feel it but could not understand it, like one might be bothered seeing the big leaves fall off a favorite plant -- not realizing that what is happening is it is making room for new growth.

New energy, new people and a renewed purpose have begun to infuse our group.  Really really great people. There are a lot of healthy green buds on this maturing tree.  Some of the people who have not been around for awhile are returning.  Home.

The energy, the new people, are, I am feeling -- stronger, more positive, balanced, well rounded, calm, mature, centered, open in their (your) outlooks, cognizant of their strengths and weaknesses.  Not very big on volunteerism -- yet -- but real nice personal attributes.

We are going through another change -- our second or third one.  I do not know what it looks like yet, but am feeling it.  Last month it did not feel good.  Now, I understand it a little better, it feels good -- it feels great! -- and I am looking forward to it.  If you have an idea what is going on, please let me know.  When I know, I'll tell you.   ok?

In the meantime:
WHAT    Do   YOU    Want?
There is a lot we can do.
I have never been to a Dowsing meeting -- other than ours'.
When I started this group it was because I wanted more dowsing energy around me.  It was not happening, I wanted it, so I had to make it happen.  Or give it up. I did not know what one does at a dowsing meeting, I just kind of put together what looked right.   It seemed to work.

Our first organizational meeting was August 1, 2000.   Two main (personal) goals were that in 18 months we would have Toronto Dowsers North and I'd start looking around for my replacement.   Both remain unrealized.   6 of us gathered in my living room and we talked about what we wanted to do and what needed doing.  4 of us remain active members, one other stays in touch with us.

How the Newsletter got started:   We had a bunch of names and addresses who were interested in dowsing.  I suggested that we each call a bunch of people.  No one else liked that idea.  They said that we needed to write out a notice and mail it.  My reply to that was, and I kid you not:  "Okay, so who is going to do it?  I can't write a letter like that.  I don't know how to write."   No one else wanted to do it.   They all looked at me.  My next comment was:  "Okay, I'll figure out something."   And that was how the Newsletter got started.  I really did not have a clue.  How to run a meeting, a group, write a newsletter, find a place for meeting, figure out what to do -- anything like that.  I had never had any experience in anything like that.  Talk about OTJ training!
2 more influences that encourage my newslettering:
I got a "D" in Freshman English.  The prof claimed I could not analyze and I could not write.
Around 1994, bursting with tons of great health info inside of me, I put it all down on paper which resulted in a 25 page letter that I mailed to 100 of my closest family members and friends.  I think 2 people read it, or said they did.

So you see -- we -- you -- can do anything.  I didn't know what I was doing.  It just happened.  All that is needed is the idea, the Willingness and the first few steps.

If there is something YOU want -- a speaker -- an activity --  OTHER??? -- please let me know.   June and July, I'm planning.  I have some changes in mind but they are not yet fully formed.

The ASD (American Society of Dowsers) 2009 Convention takes place
at Killington, Vermont (near Rutland) -- August 5-10

  - The location is about 450 miles from here, in the gorgeous Green Mountains of Vermont, in the Killington Ski area.   About an 8.5 hour drive from Toronto.
  -  Last summer I shared a condo with Maggie and Kathy.  It cost us about $100 / nite.   That was a pretty good deal.  It was a 2 BR and because I was the last one to join this little group I got the Murphy Bed in the living room.
  -  The presentations were fabulous.  David Wilcock, as you know, was exceptional as Keynote speaker.  This year Russell Targ shall be the keynote.
  -  There are 3 1/2 days of -- 4 time slots / day.  Each time slot gives you six choices of presentations.   That's about 14 presentations you can see, if you have the stamina, from a potential choice of 60 presentations.  Over 2 years of Toronto Dowsers meeting presentations worth.
  -   Then there are the pre and post convention WORKSHOPS ! ! ! !
  -  The food, on site, was fair.  We went in to town a couple times for Groceries and/or restaurants.  Last year was their first time at this location and I think they have made improvements for this year.
  -   The ASD bookstore and sales area were tons of fun.  Good products, good value.  Highly recommended.  Also a good place to speak with speakers, many of whom are selling their wares.
  -    EARLIEST MEMBER registration (by May 15) for the convention costs:  $180.
  -    RIDE and ROOM sharing board:  /www.dowsers.info/asdshare.htm

WHAT WAS !

Our April 14th, 2009 meeting:
INTERMEDIATE DOWSING TECHNIQUES
CHART DOWSING * MAP DOWSING * COMPATIBILITY DOWSING

This was the first time we have had, been taught and practiced a series of dowsing techniques, led by Marilyn Gang.  The evening did seem to accomplish its objectives of improving individual dowsing and, in effect 'knocking the rust off our pendulums'.   Folks were dowsing from sunup to sundown that night.  There were several distinct segments.

1st:   Marilyn went over the COMMAND CENTRE, which she has found to be the most important dowsing technique she has found for health dowsing.  She found out about the COMMAND CENTRE from Frank Ludde who was a Metabolic Therapist from the Vancouver area.

What the COMMAND CENTRE is -- well what it does is it directs every activity in the body.  If there is an illness, it is usually because incorrect instructions are being sent by the COMMAND CENTRE and received by a system, organ or cells and acted upon.  Actively dowsing the COMMAND CENTRE can change the instructions from corrupt to clear.   The dowser is asking about the operation of the COMMAND CENTRE and if below a certain percentage, uses dowsing to improve the performance.  The COMMAND CENTRE is comprised of 4 distinct areas.

Once we learn about it, it is wise to do this every day for a week, then once or twice a week for maintenance.

1st:  "Blind Dowsing" occupied he next segment of the evening.   Marilyn had prepared a series of 33 statements or questions that were to be dowsed with a "Yes" or "No" answer.  She held them in her hand and the members dowsed "Yes" or "No",  and kept track of their answers.

During the entire evening, at least one of the tenets of dowsing became abundantly clear:  the one of asking accurate questions.  Marilyn said that when she was composing the questions she had to be very careful with regard to being accurate and specific.  For example, when she composed the statement:

"Women often dowse with a needle hanging from a thread to discern the gender of a fetus."

She said that first she had the word "baby" and realized it needed to be changed to "fetus".
Then she had to change the word "sex" to "Gender" to make it accurate.

Material from the February meeting, where Diane Tait spoke on Herbs and Dowsing was included with these questions.

Two of the questions were quite revealing in that Marilyn said she designed them to find out information.  After all these were Dowsers dowsing to discern if the answer was yes -- true, or no -- false.  The questions were:

- "David Wilcock is the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce."
- "George Bush has a clone that sometimes appeared in public for him."

90% of the group dowsed YES! to the David Wilcock question
60% of the group dowsed YES! to the George Bush question, ergo, not conclusive.

Nita --- Canada's Premier Dowsing Chart Designer
ok, its time to tell you about Nita.  I did  -- because she definitely deserves it -- and at the same time I did not want to -- because I wanted to keep her and her talents all to myself.
You were all asking me about those sensational new and totally complete Dowsing chart books I had and passed around you at the April meeting.  Mostly you wanted to know how you could buy them.
Nita, a fabulous dowser, lives in Edmonton.  We connected several years ago online.  We met in person March 2005 when she came to Toronto for a course.   Serependipityness for both of us.  I picked her up at the airport.  This is how we recognized one another:  I brought my bobber and she had her bobber out and our bobbers found each other in the airport lounge!  We were also both wearing our Joe Smith medallions!

But before that time, in email messaging I knew that she was a tekkie.  For the longest time I wanted dowsing charts -- computer designed but could not figure out how to do this.  My graphical abilities are nil.   I think Nita had mentioned some CADCAM related programs she liked to use, she had started doing  so I asked her to do a chart for me and described it.  She had it done lickety split and enjoyed doing it.

She had started making charts back in 2001-2002, when she created a chart (not her first) for vehicle purchase.  Asa result of that chart, they purchased one. They were surprised when dowsing showed Nita and her husband to buy used.  They did, still have that van and it is still great.

A couple years down the road, she  bought her first CAD program and started making charts with that.

Then Nita and I connected, over Internet.  Do you remember when we invited the Merchants of Green Coffee to our annual networking December social, then went to their place for a field day, August 2004?  Nita was a member by then, she liked the idea of their products and created charts so she could dowse their coffee beans!  I saw some of her charts, which were pretty nifty -- asked her to make us some for the December 2004 social to dowse the MOGC coffee beans! and a pretty nice synergy began.  That following summer Nita went ahead and made the charts -- fairly complicated -- that we used with Charles Hubbard's book(let).  Just beautiful.  And her software and abilities kept, and keep on, getting refined.

November 2005 she started to spread her marketing wings and Mirrorwaters.com was born.  Check it out.  Its gorgeous.

" ... on there I have the free Chart of the Month download, dowsing lessons (some from Joe Smith), articles etc. Last month's article written by Les and it was pretty darn good I thought. Mirrorwaters, has basically become a website where I can give back to  the dowsing community. Actually, I am pretty proud of it. It has evolved into a thing of beauty! I really love that site.  That website would also be good to pass on to the Toronto Dowsers,

"The books I have published at this time are the ones I have sent you. The other books are all in various stages of completion.  I had all of these ideas and I've actually probably got close to 1000 charts made over the years. Many of them for my books.   I just am so busy it is hard to put in the time to polish them off."

The books were passed around at the meeting.
I did not have purchase info at the time.   Now I do.  You have to do it online, through LuLu:     http://stores.lulu.com/dowsethis
Go to Nita's own site:    www.Dowsethis.com to find out about the books and purchase them through LuLu.

There are currently 4 Dowse This books available, through LuLu:
Dowse This... Holistically Healthy ... $33.95 US Dollars
Dowse This... Your Journey to Emotional Balance ... $21.95 USD
Dowse This... Totem Animals and Other Animal Guides ... $17.95 USD
Dowse This... Empower Yourself; Create Your Own Custom Charts ... $19.95 USD
One more thing:  Nita is nothing if not -- TOTALLY Comprehensive.  Extremely, painstakingly detailed.

Below are 2 of the charts that I requested Nita to create specifically for our April 14 meeting and very kindly, she did.  I have a specific way to easily use the percent, counting and (establish the) scale chart -- that we went over at the meeting.

Because Cell (Tissue) Salts are ultra extremely important, and there was a big article on them in the March 2009 newsletter, this was an excellent chart to use for demonstration purposes.  In an instance such as this one, it is not necessary to know the specifics of each salt.  But here is a good illustration of what could happen.

One of the attendees, someone brand new to our group and a newbie dowser said:  "I got Silicea, what does that mean?"

My reply:  "Silicea, here,  is Silica.  Silica (horsetail) is beneficial for the bones, hair and teeth.  So it could be that there is a physical need in your body for this nutrient.  However, Cell Salts also work on rebalancing the emotions, personality traits.  As Silicea helps the bones, this means it also helps with support.  This could be support on any level. It could relate to support in a relationship.  Or, it could be something from the past such as when you were a child it could be that you did not feel you received enough support from one or both parents."  At that moment she let out with a loud BINGO and asked me if I was reading her mind......  Nope.  The Dowsing System knows.

Go to Nita's website for fantastic Dowsing Info and resources:
   www.Dowsethis.com
www.mirrorwaters.com/
Her sites are so hot you can see the sizzle
NOTE:   Charts are AMAAAZing.  Later that night, I realized I did not teach it correctly enough.  I did not talk about the different kinds of charts, the designs, how it works with an entire system, rather than one part.  The topic is so big and there was not enough time.  Its like trying to teach about cooking but you can't even address all the nuances of boiling water.

If you are interested in having a session on charts, let me know and we'll cook something up..

Does anyone remember the Prototype T Shirts?  Nita designed TWO of them -- the ones folks like the best!

DOWSING DOOR PRIZE:   At the February and April meetings, we have sponsored a Dowsing Door Prize.   Meeting attendees get a heads up in the newsletter.  Yes, one is being prepared, too, for the May 19 meeting, with prizes from our guest speakers.   This is how it has worked in the past, successfully and we shall probably be following this model in the future:

1.   At the time of sign in -- before the meeting starts -- each attendee can get one ballot.
2.   You take the ballot to the Sales Table, where the question is written.  The ballot box is there, too.
3.   The ballot must be put in to the box by a pre specified time such as before the announcements begin, or, definitely before the presenation begins.
4.   During the presentation, one of our volunteers is going through the ballots to ascertain the winners.
5.   There are 3 prizes.  The first prize goes to the person who dowsed the correct answer, or the one closest to it.
6.   Second and third prizes go to the runners up.

What do you need to do?  Why, Dowse something and provide the answer.  Something simple, of course.

  • At the February meeting, Honey from Annie Van Alten's Dutchman's Gold bee products business were the prizes.
  • At the April meeting, the Total Health Show donated a complete pass to the show for first prize and Exhibit Hall passes for 2nd and 3rd.
  • At the May meeting, it will be something from Robert Gilbert and/or Rivers Sterling.
  • Again -- you must get the ballot and deposit it within the specified time guidelines.  Thank you.

For this April meeting -- the closest answer -- and top prize -- went to Kelly.   This was his first time at one of our events as he recently found out about our group.  Kelly is not -- yet -- a member of the group, but he sure learned to like us real fast!  No, this was not beginner's luck.  Kelly said he used his mighty fine intuition to ascertain the correct answer.   Great job, Kelly!  and we are real glad to meet you.  Hope that you and your talented lovely friend join us often.  It was great to see you at the Total Health Show, glad that you were able to use the tickets and enjoy yourselves.   We look forward to seeing you again.

Over and over again, folks got those "Ah HAH's" to help understand WHY DOWSING HELPS YOU BECOME A BETTER PERSON:
Because it helps you to become accurate, specific and precise with your thoughts and your words.  In Dowsing.  The more you dowse, and create questions, the more this influences you in general in your life and becomes part of your nature.
Also, you must remain detached from the outcome.  This does not mean to be unfeeling.  It means to be unattached, just like a surgeon who must operate on their child.  You want to have a good result.  This helps us in life.
There are many more reasons why Dowsing helps you become a better person.  Only 2 of the reasons are presented here.

This meeting was a fast paced 100%  Dowsing Doing.  Each dowser must have dowsed at least 50 times during the evening.  Those who were not yet dowsers got a sense of how it works, how it feels.   Many good questions were asked, folks had fun, they learned and had a Dowsing Good Time!

This evening was similar to the activities we have been having at our Dowsing Practice events that we have held some Saturdays.   Keep on dowsing, doing and learning and practicing.  And then repeat.   Don't be afraid to get wrong answers.  The important thing is to do it -- the best way you know how at the time.  You can, and will, only get better.

JELLY BEAN DOWSING:  A Sweet Teaching Lesson
We had THREE!!! different Jelly Bean Dowsing events during this time period.  The second was a result of the first, the third a result of the first two.

FIRST:     At the meeting:  The Dowsing Door Prize contest:   A glass jar (an emptied Classico Pasta Sauce jar) was filled with candies.  If you looked closely you could discern that they were jelly beans and gum drops.   At least the outer layer.  The sign with the directions said:  "Dowse to Detect how many GREEN jelly beans are in this jar?"   From the responses received it was clear that several were dowsing to determine how many jelly beans they thought were in the jar.   Or how many total candies.  That they thought it was all jelly beans.   The correct answer was "27" because there were 27 green jelly beans in the jar.   The jar did contain all jelly beans and gum drops.  To the top.  nothing else.

SECOND:  At the Total Health Show:  The Dowsing Jelly Bean Contest.   This time it was:  "Dowse to Detect How Many RED Jelly Beans are in this jar?"  This worked so well at the meeting that I decided to -- sort of -- continue it, 3 days later,  at the Total Health Show, with Joey Korn's "Dowsing, The Path to Enlightenment" as the first prize.    And I knew that folks who were at the meeting and remembered the "27" would write that down or a number close to it.   Sure enough, several were prepared to do so and said they had a pretty good idea, until I asked them:

    •  You are a dowser.  Why are you assuming?
    •  Why are you assuming its the same stash of jelly beans and that they are not different ones?
    •  Why are you are assuming that the middle contains candy and the same candy and that I have not hollowed it out?
    •  Why are you assuming that I have not either taken out most of the red jelly beans or put a lot more in?
So, to make things interesting, I bought more jelly beans, using the same jar but a different stash.  I did not hollow out the inside but I did take a lot more red jelly beans from the previous stash and added it to this one.   We had 69 entries.   Watching all the people take care with their answers and stuff the ballot box, I was certain we would have 3-5 correct entries.  The correct answer was "40".   The winner was Archie, one of our frequent meeting attendees, with "38".
THIRD:   May 2 Dowsing Class:   The first 2 times worked so well I decided to use it with my dowsing class 2 weeks later, but with a slightly different angle.

In preparing the jar (same jar, same stash) I took out a lot of the light purple jelly beans:
    -  First, the class was asked to dowse how many yellow jelly beans were in the jar.
    -  Next, each student was given one of those light purple jelly beans.  They were directed to dowse how many light purple jelly beans were in the jar, but this time they had a sample in the other hand, a sample of the item they were seeking, more along the lines of vibrational dowsing.  The hypothesis was that their answers would be more accurate.

Well, they were not.  This experiment did not succeed.  Either the premise was faulty, or they were too tired or did not understand what to do or possibly because it was a new class, they were not used to dowsing, or to this technique.  Maybe it would work with more experienced dowsers?  or not?

LESSON:   One of the lessons this activity taught them, at least with the first and second times, is to read the instructions carefully.

    Sendwich™  !*!*!
Sendwich™  is a simple apparatus consisting of items that you assemble to broadcast beneficial energies  for a specific purpose.

What?  and Why?  The Sendwich™ ?

January 2009 featured speaker Margaret Ball introduced her 'Broadcasting Sandwich' to the Toronto Dowsers.  People were fascinated, enthralled, enheartened.  There were many questions as to where do you get the materials, mostly around the color frequencies and the proper magnet -- which can be a little tricky, how to create the message, the witness and how to fine tune it.
This is a powerful and useful system.  Only slightly complicated, it is supremely simple once you do it a few times.
The desire, the demand for this system, was tangible.

    So Marilyn put it together.
    And created:  The Sendwich
Why Sendwich™?  Because it is a Broadcasting SandWICH that SENDs energy.
This can be used by Dowsers and non Dowsers alike.
Non Dowsers use a "Rubbing Plate" to discern the correct selections.
A Manual was created.  The manual is almost an energy dowsing course in of itself.
The package includes:  The magnet, color frequency book, manual, rubbing plate and more.

The Sendwich™ debut took place at Toronto's Total Health Show, April 17-19, 2009, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre where it was very well received by many, including those who work with color therapy systems -- even Peter Mandel's comprehensive ColorPuncture!  Sendwich™ was admired for its capacity and simplicity of learning and use as well as its versatility, compactness and portability.
Heather at the Total Health Show with Sendwich™

Sendwich™ can be used by anyone.  Sendwich™ was originated by a Dowser, for Dowsers and the results proved so simple and successful (and the demand for its capability so high) that it was adapted for use by a greater number of people.

Some of the results you, too, may want to achieve with Sendwich™  are:   Improve the life of an ailing plant   * Reduce or eliminate allergies * Get rid of the fleas on your dog  * Eliminate some of the rust on a car * Regrow hair  * Reduce the discomfort of a sore shoulder * Stop ants from coming in to your house *  and so on.

Oh  No! . . . .    OH  YES!!!!   Found it!
A:   Complete.  Whole.  Raw.  Vegetarian.  Food.

For the past several years I have been looking for a certain kind of protein source.  It needed to be simple, quick, preferably vegetarian, portable and travels easily, would not need refrigeration, something that I could use as a food as well as in one of my concoctions.  Oh yeah.  Affordable, too.

I have found all sorts of protein powders, whey powders, soy powders and more but was not satisfied with them because they either tasted funny or smelled funny and did not seem to remain fresh once opened.   I would often make the mistake of leaving it on the kitchen counter near the stove and the heat was not kind to them.

April 18, Sharie Bridge stopped by at the Total Health Show and asked if I wanted to try something.  Sharie is a Health Practitioner helping very very sensitive people with myriad problems.  She does a lot of energy work, nutritional work, remedies, works on emotional as well as physical levels as well as having in depth knowledge of David Slater's programme and is extremely sensitive herself and I know her to be a fine judge of quality.  So I said "Sure."   She puts about a half teaspoon of a dark coarsely powdered mixture in my palm and tells me to Try it.  I do.  WOW!   The life energy zoomed to the top of my head.  I don't get reactions like that.  This time I did.

Thank you, Sharie.  After years of searching, I have finally found the more than perfect Protein.  Not just Protein.
    A complete, whole food.
    A complete whole, VEGETARIAN food.
A complete whole, RAW VEGETARIAN food.
Although proper care and storage is recommended, it will NOT become rancid.
One scoop, with some liquid becomes a delicious cereal.  The perfect solution for traveling, camping.

Heat is not used in its preparation.  Heating, cooking, will neither change nor diminish its nutritional value.
Adding it to other foods does not change the taste nor the smell of the original food.

Okay, so WHAT is it?   Have you been hearing, the past few years about Salba?   And its very high nutritional contents?   And you know that Salba is really Chia seed, right?  This product is -- Chia seed (Salvia hispanica L. seed).  But not just one Chia seed.  Grown in South America, without pesticides (since it is part of the mint family and plants in the mint family repel bugs), it is a combination of Chia seed(s) grown in different areas of South America due to the different benefits of soil nutrition in different areas, combined, milled and cut in a special process -- again without heat -- and vacuum packed.

Conventional grinding which is used with processing other products and brands, but not with this one, heats the seed, which in turn leads to oxidation and decreased oil quality and to an extent to quantity. Thus grinding reduces the shelf life of the product. The process for this product opens the seed and increases the surface area that gets exposed to the digestive process.  All this ensures the highest bio-availability of any other form of Salvia hispanica L. known to those who have spent years researching this seed, how to grow it and process it, for the highest good of all.

The name of the product is:  Mila™

    Yes, this is MLM.
One of the best things about this for me -- and perhaps for you -- is that Sharie found out about it from Nick!  That's right! Nick Lomangino, Eastern Canada's Tong Ren Master Practitioner and Teacher.   Nick was in Boston recently, spending a week with Tom Tam and he stayed with his friend, a close colleague of Tom's and also a 3rd generation (Chinese) herbalist.  This friend of Nick's has been wild about it, he and his clients experiencing great results.

This is what I like most about MLMs --- that it creates an excuse to play with your friends and make better relationships with those you don't yet know well but would like to.  Because you have to interact about a topic.  So I get to spend more time with Sharie and with Nick -- who I like a lot.

The company is about 6 months old and this is brand new, too, in Canada.  Nick helped to co host the Canadian launch a couple weeks ago.

Here are 2 sentences from the company -- how can this be?::
"Mila is the healthiest food that has ever come out of the earth."
"Its the healthiest raw food ever."
It is 100% natural.  There is absolutely nothing else added to it.

Dr. Oz from the Oprah show says, "Chia seeds just may be one of the healthiest things around."
    They say it lowers cholesterol.
The company also says:  "The Miracle Seed has the highest and safest concentration of Omega-3 fatty acids, Antioxidants, Fiber and Phytonutrients of any source on the planet. It is non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) and pesticide-free!"  Hmmm.  That would be nice.  I'll have to check it out.
And:  "The Miracle Seed is gluten-free, trans-fat free, sugar-free, high in fiber and protein, has no taste or smell ."
And:  "An unopened pouch of Mila™ can last for several years. Once opened, many factors contribute to its shelf-life. Although Mila™ does not require refrigeration, we recommend that if you do not use the product as directed (each pouch is a one-month supply) that you store it in a temperate, dry place such as your refrigerator."

This means Celiacs can eat it safely as it is gluten free.
Recommended daily serving:  1  13 gm scoop.
    Very high in Omega-3s.
It is supposed to be very high on the ORAC scale (the one that Cass Ingram told us about November 2007):  "Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities of different foods.    A wide variety of foods have been tested using this methodology, with certain spices, berries and legumes rated very highly. Correlation between the high antioxidant capacity of fruits and vegetables, and the positive impact of diets high in fruits and vegetables, is believed to play an important role in the free-radical theory of aging."
Total ORAC of 844 per 13g serving
         3,000 mg of Omega-3s per 13g Serving

Nutrition expert Dr. Andrew Weil says, "A healthful and interesting addition to my diet. My prediction? You will begin to see Chia being added to more and more commercial products, such as prepared baby foods, nutrition bars, and baked goods."

Just as there are all sorts of grades, levels and qualities for all kinds of products, especially food, the same is true for Chia seeds.

I spoke with a well respected Health Practitioner who has been using Mila with her clients.  Since it is still so new, her own experience and that of her clients is fairly recent.  Her own digestion has been severely compromised due to surgery.  This is -- literally -- the only solid food she can eat.  She tests her clients for assimilability and use.  This has the highest assimilability and bioavailable use that she has ever tested.  Not just with food in general -- in comparison with other Chia seeds as well.  As well as its life energy.  We think it is because of the way it is grown, the combination factor, the soils, the processing and the all around overall care.

    The company says it has:
8x more Omega-3 than Atlantic wild salmon
    6x more Calcium than milk
    3x more Iron than Spinach
    2x more Potassium than bananas
    15x more Magnesium than broccoli
2x more Fiber than bran flakes
6x more Protein than kidney beans
4x more Selenium than flax seed
9x more Phosphorous than whole milk
    More Antioxidants than blueberries
More Protein and Fiber than: rice, barley, oats, wheat, corn
    More Folate than Asparagus
    More Lignans than Flax Seed

A perfect product for Emergency preparedness.  Mila, and water -- could satisfy basic food requirements for quite some time.

    And:

One 454 gm resealable vacuum packed bag costs $45-$55 USD + Shipping (no tax because its a food).   We may have some available at the May 19 meeting.  Otherwise, get in touch with Nick or Sharie or me, if interested.  There are also many YouTube videos..

         My site:   http://www.dowsers.lifemax.net

All this, all of the above from my trying a half teaspoon sample.  But SUCH a sample!   I could not forget about it and tracked Sharie down later, hours after she left our booth, wanting more, wanting to be able to get more.   I have not even received my first bag yet and usually would wait a couple months but as this is the last newsletter before the summer I thought better to include this than not.

    *            *            *            *            *            *
I wrote the above before I received my first bag of Mila, based on my Spidey sense; and trust and confidence in Nick and in Sharie.  My first order came in the afternoon before this issue went to print.  Ay.  The taste is a whole nutty taste, like powdered walnuts.  Do you know how it is when you have a really nutritious food, and you want more?  I had about 3 scoops of Mila before I was satisfied.  I wasn't hungry, my body simply felt its nutritional wholeness and completeness and craved more.   So I mixed some up with coconut water, raisins and dates and let it sit first for 10 minutes.  Delish.   Next I want to mix it up with a grated apple, some apple cider, then yogurt or kefir and banana.  And honey.  Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack.

    FOOD FUN:

Watercress:  Watercress, like Kale, is often used as a garnish when dressing a flesh based lunch or dinner plate.  Like Kale, it is often thrown away despite its being the healthiest item on the plate -- even a sprig.

You can buy watercress in produce sections, near the parsley.  Last week it was $.69 / bunch at my produce store.  It has a somewhat sharp, slightly bitter taste and you can almost feel it cleansing the liver as you munch that pure greenery.

Raw Foodists, COVER YOUR EYES:   I love to steam watercress, then puree it and serve with plenty of butter.  Superb.

Our Chinese GreenGrocer said in China they use it for soup.  Simmer watercress and carrots.  It works!  If you need a quick, flavorful and vegetarian soup stock -- use watercress!  It takes only 20 minutes!

Watermelon:   Start thinking of Watermelon!  Soon!  You can do a Watermelon fast once a week in the summer -- it could be GOOD for you!  Nothing but Watermelon and Watermelon Juice all day.  Put the WHOLE THING --- Watermelon, seeds and fruit and rind and all in the juicer.  Exquisite!

Ginger!  How about Ginger Iced Tea!  When I wrote this it was for:  Ginger Coffee! --  At workshops this winter I'd been bringing packages of  Ginger Mint hard candies, and handing them out, and seemed to be really appreciated by the folks there.  So much so that I repeatedly get asked where I get them from.  ok.  From the Dollar Store.  At Yonge and Davisville.  Xcept I doubt if I'll be as profligate with them in the future because the price for the 4.4 oz package went up last week from a buck to $1.29!!!

Sitting at the workshop, in the warm break room thank goodness during the end of winter freeze, a cuppa Timmy's in front of me and an open package of Ginger Mints.  hmmm..  Ginger Coffee?!?!?  So I dropped one in the medium double cream.  Let it hang out there a bit.  Wow.  What a great combo!

Ginger Coffee!  Right on!  Back to the Dollar Store, looking for mini ice cube trays.  Could not find them.  Got something even better.  Those plastic pill boxes.  Better, because they have caps.   Bought fresh ginger, plopped some grated stuff into water, simmered, boiled it down a bit to make it stronger.  Poured it into the pill box compartments, covered.  Froze it.  Now I have ginger ice cubes to plunk into my coffee.  Or tea.  Or Oriental food, etc.

HERBS !  AND  FAIRS!  AND   WALKS!   AND  HERBALISTS!

Herb Walks --- Take a walk through a woods, or the park, with a trained herbalist, who will point out herbs growing in their natural environment.  Herbs that if you had on your property, or in a wooded area in a less populated area, you could pick -- responsibly -- and enjoy the taste, the aliveness and better health.

Several herbalists offer Herb walks throughout the GTA.  If you do not live near us, and would like to participate, check out your internet listings for Herbalists.  From what I have found so far, one out of three herbalists seem to offer these idyllic forays.

As this is our last newsletter until the end of the summer, if you want to know about a walk a bunch of us might go on, please let Marilyn know so she can know to contact you should something be arranged.  Here are some people you may want to contact:

Remember how much you enjoyed Diane Tait's presentation in February on Herbs?  And the depth and wisdom of her knowledge and experience?   You KNOW that lady knows her stuff!  You can call her and ask her about her offerings this spring and summer:.  You can reach her for Herbal Consultations, Herbal Remedies, Herbal Classes (she offers one in the summer) at:  905 426 7846

    Labyrinths?  and --- Sting!
Do you enjoy Labyrinths?    The Labyrinth Community Network,  a group of volunteers who value the experience of walking or tracing a labyrinth, has greatly expanded the listings on their web site.  Visit their site at labyrinthnetwork.ca/ and you will see many more places listed all over Ontario.  Nice to find this spring and summer.

Even Sting is strongly attracted to Labyrinths.  A few years ago Sting created an "album":

“I first came across this labyrinth design a number of years ago in San Francisco, and found it very beautiful. It was based on the labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral, originally designed as a meditational tool. So I did a meditation, and felt something - something hard to explain. I was fascinated, and with this huge lawn outside thought it would be fun to build one here. It took about three years, and now we have this thing that looks like a neolithic earthwork. It calms me down, and I try to walk it every day. It's also become a metaphor for my journey in music. I'm constantly drawn towards the centre of things, but you get moved away.”

Another result is  "Songs from the Labyrinth",  a 2006 album of recordings of the music of John Dowland by Sting and Bosnian lutenist Edin Karamazov.  Sting calls John Dowland (1563-1626) the first English singer/songwriter we know of as he was one of the Elizabethan era's most important composers. It's a collection of songs for voice and lute.

!!!    PEBBLES FOR CAT'S WATER DISH:  At Mary Hardy's home a few years ago, I noticed that there were smooth pebbles in the cat's water dish.  When I asked her son about it, he said that the cat likes them.   She won't drink the water without them in her bowl.
Silently, on your inner levels, communicate with your cat (or dog).   Mentally, ask if your cat (or dog) would like pebbles or rocks or crystals -- In her water dish.  Then, when you choose the rocks (go outside to collect them, in the woods, or from an unpolluted beach.  Be careful about buying them.  If you buy them ensure they are not coated and do not bring detrimental energies with them.)  As you choose each pebble, ask simultaneously, again on your inner levels, if the pebble wants to come home with you and if the cat wants it for her water dish.

You might want to do this, too, for your own water supply, say find some pebbles or rocks or crystals that are harmonious with your energies and keep them in a water glass.  Pour water for yourself in the glass, let it sit and sip from it.

Remembering Christopher Evans.  Hugh Magill.   --- One Year Later

As we have been enjoying morning bird song again for several weeks, you may remember Christopher Evans' observation on bird song about a year ago.  Christopher took his life June 9th, 2008.   Christopher sent this to me April 23, 2008 and it is a nice way to remember him.  I shared this with you last year and about 8 people sent in their own experiences, echoing Christopher's findings.  But right now I can't find your words and hope this shall suffice:

       " " "  Hi Marilyn!

I know that you think I'm crazy - or hearing things - but I'm now convinced that birdsong triggers plant growth.

This morning at 3:20 I was outside.  Dead quiet.  Went inside to grab a drink and a cigarette and headed back outside around 3:30.  Immediately noticed that several birds were singing.  Three hours before sunrise and not one but several birds are going at it full tilt.  So I'm pondering what the heck these birds are up to at this hour (smack-dab in the middle of the Hour of the Wolf, no less!) when I hear another sound.  This one is coming from all around me.  Crackling coming from the ground.  I've heard this before but always attributed it to a breeze or a gently rain or whatever.  Not this time.  It was the sound of all the plant life in my backyard GROWING!  Not at 3:20 (pre-birdsong) but at 3:30.

There's no other explanation that I can think of to explain this.  Isn't nature grand?  :)

      Love,  " " "

Chris, we miss you. I miss you.  We think about you, we talk about you...

June 26, 2008, Hugh Magill passed away.  Hugh and Christopher were --- are --- 2 very valuable, important, precious and dear men in our group.  Much of the pain created by their passing is not as sharp as it was a year ago however the hole they have left remains large, gaping and noticeable.   Christopher, and Hugh, are irreplaceable.   God Bless you, Christopher.  God Bless you, Hugh.   I miss you lots.  We all do.

The birds are singing to communicate to one another and to different areas of nature.  Song can catalyze growth.  The birds sing to the plants so the plants grow.  Just as the natives sing to the corn so the corn grows or they sing to the rain so that rain falls.

Singing birds are part of nature's communication system.

Hartmann and Curry Grids are also part of nature's communication system.  Energy grid lines around the planet.  A problem though, is with all the electricity and EM activity and electromagnetic pollution human beings are causing, these natural lines of communication are becoming polluted and the correct signals are having difficulty getting through cleanly, clearly and completely.

    Himalayan Salt Lamps:  Big  Caution

We love those Himalayan Salt Lamps, don't we?  I have 2 of them.  CAUTION!  Some of them might be seriously harmful to your health.  This can not be measured by tests, it can be detected by Dowsing.  What happens when these chunks of salt are mined, are pulled from the earth?  What happens if they come from a place that undergoes severe geopathic stress?   Some of these chunks, which get turned into lamps have been exhibiting signs of geopathic stress evidenced by the effect they have on people as well as dowsed results that are so pernicious that people are sick as a result of being near them.  Sick in the terms of lack of energy.  Their energy is drained.

Can these lamps with detrimental energy be cleansed?  Possibly.  I don't know.  But I have heard these reports regarding their problems from 3 very capable dowsers.  One woman had a store with lamps and she had to get rid of them because they were making everyone in the store feel lousy.

In writing the above caveat, it felt silly.  It felt like the silly warnings where someone says:  "Women!  Look into the back of your car before you get in because you don't know who is hiding in your back seat waiting to jump your bones!"

If you extrapolate from the Salt lamps to other materials -- how about the precious metals that are mined from the earth?  Gold?!  Diamonds!?  Silver?!  and more.  Somehow I don't think the earth likes having big holes dug into her and her stuffing pulled out.

If you have a lamp, discern how you feel around it, if its on or if its off.  Dowse it.  Yours' might be ok.

The Story Behind Energized Water and How to Make Your Own

November 26, 2002, the Toronto Dowsers started  The Toronto Dowsers Water Project.
We made available an energized healing water we called ECH20  whose purpose was
Healing the Waters of the Planet
Using Water for Health and Happiness

ECH20  stands for   Energized Cosmic Water.   It began when Marilyn sponsored another workshop for Raymon Grace to speak to the Toronto Dowsers.  Again, he told us about  his water adventures and what happened when he would 'energize' water.  He learned this information from one of his mentors, Rolling Thunder.   After the presentation, Marilyn said to him, "I have a 5 gallon jug of reverse osmosis water in  my car.  How about if you energize the water in that jug and I'll pour it into smaller bottles and distribute it?"   And she did.  Out of that 5 gallon jug,  a few thousand 8 ounce bottles of ECH20were distributed and they literally went all over the world, and they helped Raymon to become well known.
Like Sour Dough starter, or anything that catalyzes its own process in a receptive and nurturing medium, if you put a few drops of  ECH20  in something, such as a larger body of water, it will begin to act on that water.  Masaru Emoto's work is virtually identical.

Although the original purpose of  the water was to heal the waters of the planet, many started using it, successfully, to heal their own physical ailments.  Folks seemed hungry, almost desperate to get this water.  Because they believed that Raymon's energetics would heal their deep pain.  They believed that Raymon -- who they did not know -- could help them more than they could help themself.  Who cares more about their situation, though?

The difference between his energetics and theirs is, like with dowsing:
!  He does it, so his "energizing muscles" are stronger as they are more developed.
!   He believes it will work.  They do not.
!   He knows it will work.  They do not.
!   He has the trust and the confidence.  They do not.
And oh yes, one more important ingredient: the secret one:  Passion.  He put everything he had into it.  As if the fate of the cosmos would be determined by how much he put into that water.  With the kind of love, care, and attention you would use with your baby's very first meal.   Get the picture?

Just like with Dowsing and becoming a better dowser.  You do so with PRACTICE (building muscles).  With belief, trust and confidence.

Raymon learned how to do this from Rolling Thunder.   Here are the teachings from Rolling Thunder.  I encourage you to do the same.

The following excerpt comes from "Rolling Thunder", by Doug Boyd, 1974.  The book itself is fabulous.  Read it if you are lucky enough to get a copy.  They went out of print some time ago.  Some copies are available in the public library.  Read it more than once.

""" He talked about herbs, which he called "helpers",  and told how when he goes to gather herbs, he can feel them before he sees them.  Often herbs just appear where they are needed.  Weeds, he said, don't exist.  We call plants we don't want weeds, but to Rolling Thunder all plants have a purpose that should be respected.  He said that plants live in families and have tribes and chiefs.  When someone goes to gather herbs, he pays his respects to the chief by making an offering.  Then he actually speaks to the plant, saying that he is about to take a member of the group, but no more than is needed, and for good purpose.  The need and the purpose are primary.  Peyote is another agent helper, whose purpose is good, but it can be misused through this understanding.

Then he talked about making water into medicine.  This, he said, was something he could give to us, something those of us who were listening might someday find it useful in the right time and place.

I will tell you a few things that you can take with you.  You can start with this.  You can take a glass of water and pray over it and make medicine out of it.  A lot of times, the Indians will be caught with no medicine, and they want to cure a fever or something like that.  They will take a glass of water, pray over it in the morning when the sun is coming up.  When the sun is rising in the morning, vibrations -- what you would call vibrations in the earth, we call it the Great Spirit's power --- are strongest than and they are bringing forth new life.  When the sun starts to rise, we make our prayer, and when you see the bottom of the sun, that is when it ends.  Let the rays of the sun hit that water and you can make the medicine out of it.  If you want to do that and you need that medicine.

Rolling Thunder said that experiments do not cause things to happen.  Events are caused by their natural causes.  There is no experiment, other than a real situation.  The example of the water illustrates the predicament of contemporary science in dealing with Indian medicine.  How can science make any valid test of American Indian medicine, if it is too scientific to include all the conditions of the real situation?  In this case, the real situation  includes the need for and an unordinary result and the belief that the need will bring that result.  It includes a certain attitude toward the Sun and the Earth and all of nature.  It includes a certain viewpoint about the relationship between the Sun, the Earth, the healer and a glass of water, and it includes a feeling about the conscious presence of the great Spirit.  Absent from the real situation are skepticism and judgment.  I can think of scientists I know who would be embarrassed to investigate  American Indian medicine if they should be required to work within these conditions.  Yet they are simply the conditions that exist when things happen.

Another lesson half to do with the concept of agents.  The glass of water was an agent, Rolling Thunder's remarks about the glass of water began that learning for [me].  He said, now you can start with this.  You can make the medicine if you want to do that and if you need that medicine.

Rolling Thunder concluded.  So this spiritual power is supposed to be used in a good way and to help people, and I don't mean just sick people either.  You can't use it to help keep people from getting sick; you can't use it for friendship and for good feeling among your family and among people where ever you go.  And I think that if there are enough of you, therefor will even come a time when you can use it to bring about better government–and maybe you could even use it to influence the Bureau of Indian Affairs. """

Rolling Thunder begins his prayers and rituals by recognizing Father Sun, Mother Earth and the 4 corners.
"To the East where the sun rises.
To the North, where the cold comes from.
To the South, where the light comes from.
To the West, where the sun sets.
        To the Father Sun.
        To the Mother Earth."
You create your energized water -- perhaps at the time of day recommended by Rolling Thunder, with the ritual and put into it all the blessings and prayers, intent and intention you can think of -- for a purpose -- with all your passion -- with all your trust and confidence that you know It Is So.  And then you use it.  You might sip it from time to time during the day.  You might pour a few drops or half a teaspoon into your water bottle and drink that.

Its simple, it really is.  That is all there is to it.  Why not believe in yourself, rather than asking, rather than paying -- someone else to do it?  Do you think they care about you as much as you do?   Who cares the most about you?  Really?  Shouldn't whoever cares most about you, and has the biggest investment in what happens to you --- be the one to handle whatever needs doing?

BONUS!   "Thunder Potion", for the lungs, which came from Rolling Thunder:

            Take:        2 drops eucalyptus oil
                            7 drops peppermint
                            7 drops anise / fennel
                            5 drops tea tree oil
Put in a cup of water, heat just until it produces vapor (do not boil), remove from heat, Breathe In. Use as needed. This is good for colds, sinus, bronchitis, flu.

You can find a pretty good interview with Rolling Thunder at: motherearthnews.com

You can find some really good excerpts of Doug Bear's biography on Mad Bear -- who was Rolling Thunder's friend and colleague, in our May 2005 newsletter.

    Remembering Henry Evering

Henry Evering had a big, inquisitive, multi dimensional mind and led a fulfilling life teaching others how to look at ‘normal’ everyday things with fresh eyes.  The bright twinkle in his eye was ever present, as was his sense of humor.

Born in Germany he’d studied psychology, biofeedback, business.  He was a Master in electricity.

He pushed aside pecuniary interests to pursue his love of condensing multi disciplinary concepts into simple, colorful, visual forms. His later years were spent decoding and documenting the symbolic language of creation itself.   This did not take away from his love of his family and his family life.

Henry’s real genius lay not just in his perceptiveness.   He had the unique ability to recognize archetypal codes in the patterns of seemingly unrelated disciplines - linking them together through color, shape, geometric forms and philosophy and configuring his knowledge into organized systems on paper.

Henry loved people – there was no intellectual elitism about him.  Highly gregarious, he was endearingly curious about everything and everyone and always thrilled to be able to discuss creative universal cryptograms over a beer at the pub.

Every visit to his home was a revelation - we would sit opposite one another across a room crowded with esoteric books flowing over floors, tables and shelves.   Colored Plexiglas geometric models hand made by Henry to illustrate or express some of his brain creations,  hung from the ceiling and covered the walls.  Paper and smaller, more colorful models vied for attention with the man himself.   I always felt like the sorcerers apprentice as Henry shared his latest writing, diagrams and hypothesis to me, covering my lap and every available surface with scholarly debris whilst Hildegard, Henry's wife and help mate, would ply us with tea and biscuits, perching china teacup and saucer precariously on top of some priceless, inscrutable book or other.   However slow my brain was to wrap  itself around a particularly sizable cosmic concept – he was never condescending or dogmatic but would rather gently and even sweetly move on to something else as he endeavored to loosen up my ‘little grey cells.’

The last time we spent together, he had linked the I Ching to the human DNA code, amino acids and its representative colors and was feeling rather pleased with himself -- as well he should --- as an old student of his had finally got licensed to start a University based on his work.

Henry wished to make his lexicon ‘Eidetics’ available to all so the average business man or esoteric scholar alike could refer to it rather like an encyclopedia or lexicon of immense diversity.

Henry tried to raise consciousness among the general public.  One of the ways he did this was by overwhelming people with information.  This which would trigger an opening and could  people evolve through a shift in consciousness.  He was dedicated to this and to humanitarian values

Eidetics:   Henry founded Eidetics, and published  the Eidetic Reference Book, "Creating Whole Organization Synergy".  He started the Eidetic-Academy in 2000.  Its purpose is to share psychological and sociological discoveries.  An organizational and systems researcher, he conveyed the techniques through the Eidetics Integrated Research and the Eidetics Integrated Learning System.

These processes of the  Eidetics' Philosophy rely on Socratic questioning principles that assume people have innate knowledge, their own unique way of seeing things, and can find solutions by co-operating towards mutual benefit.

These methods  to improve leadership teams, organizations, human resources, marketplace performance, products, services and educational processes. The benefits came with an ability to make better decisions, resulting in increased revenue and stock prices.

'Out in the World', troubles with meetings were many.   Those with the strongest personality, or position, often swayed the course of entire meetings, while some, with more of a gift for speaking than having a lot to contribute, went into long monologues that used up valuable time and focus.
Other forms of research, such as interviews and surveys, rely almost entirely on words and numbers for information, and compile people's verbally expressed perspectives. These types of research only reflect the tips of the icebergs of people's meaning, and visual perceptions.
In contrast, the Eidetic method more accurately reflects people's innate perspectives, while the process of sketching drawings seems to help people clarify their position, decision-making processes, emotions and self-understanding. One further innovation is to pre-model what types of answers are likely to occur, and design a questionnaire that methodically surveys each person's viewpoint.

Henry has developed considerable expertise at determining the psychological implications of color and design.   His book used this expertise, describing  his unique methods for generating better communications. His work represents a breakthrough in organizational theory, more accurate research methods as well as new leadership, learning and marketing approaches.

The Sound of Color and the Tones of Meaning
Have you ever wondered why there are eight notes in a musical octave, eight pure colors, when you include white and black, and eight points on a cube?  Henry  grappled with questions like this all the time.

As but one example, today, traffic signs have an influence on what colors mean to people. White separates the lanes, and lights our way, keeping us safe. Purple is rarely seen. Yellow provides a barrier by outlining different lane directions. Green alerts us that we can go on our way and shows us the way when it appears as a highway sign, helping us make decisions. Red is the color for stopping, and to be more alert. Orange is the color for construction and a need for caution. Blue is the color for signs and children's crosswalks. Children sustain society. Black is the color of asphalt or that which is below, and with white, signifies speed safety limits, which if exceeded carry a risk of death.

Areas where this information is applied include design, products, services, logos, marketing, and advertising. Next time you see orange colors in a coffee shop or fast food restaurant, you'll know why. Hint: After researching 240 people's perceptions of the color red-orange, Evering found that orange has consumer associations such as, "Bright, attraction, lively, excitement, strong, bold, aggressive, loud, hot, warmth, comfort and love".

In addition to these meanings, 35% of consumer responses indicated negative meanings of the color orange, such as, "dull, too bright, and danger". Anyway you look at it orange is very stimulating and evokes strong reactions in people - it also seems to lower the amount of time people will occupy in a restaurant.

Henry felt there is a whole line, color, shape language that living things express. Could color, sound and meaning be much more interrelated than is commonly recognized? Can color be used to communicate certain meanings? Henry thought so, and has consulted about color to over 150 government, business and non-profit organizations for over 30 years.  For more understanding of Eidetics see:  /www.eidetics.ca/

Henry loved the Toronto Dowsers.  He especially loved exhibiting his colorful shapes at our December Socials.   He was a man way ahead of his time.  He thought in 3D, perhaps 4D.  That, too, is how he saw.   He loved the color work.  And understood it and even pioneered some of it.   A man with immense kindness he is missed, by his wife, his children, his fans and the Toronto Dowsers.  God Bless You, Henry Evering.  Thank you for sharing your light, your heart, your ideas, passions, feelings, shapes and colors with us.

The above observations were contributed by Henry's son, Paul, his friend Angi Venning and Marilyn Gang.

MACHAELLE SMALL WRIGHT,   DANIEL QUINN --  MUST READS, MUST DO

This summer -- and always, do consider reading Daniel Quinn's Ishmael books  AND!  Machaelle Small Wright's books:
    - Behaving As If the God in All Life Mattered (Its been my #1  for more than a dozen years now.)
    - M.A.P.  (Medical Assistance Program)

     (1)   You start with:  Machaelle Small-Wright, from Virginia,.  Around 1987 she wrote  "Behaving As If the God In All Life Mattered".  Machaelle was invited to speak at Findhorn, in Scotland.  At first they thought she was crazy.  Then they realized how little they knew and how much she knew.  This book is available in most libraries. It has been my favorite book --- ever --- since I first read it.  She continues to grow.

The first half  of the book is her life.  Her parents were well to do, and alcoholics.  She practically raised herself from the time she was 13, and did not have good parenting.   So she did not know that it was unusual to speak with nature spirits.

Each plant, each animal has a nature spirit.  When she plants a garden, she talks to the nature spirit.  Let's say she wants to grow tomatoes.   She talks to the nature spirit of the tomatoes and the tomato worms.  She asks the tomatoes where they want to be planted.  She asks the tomato worms how much of the crop they need.   If they say 10%, she asks them if they will be content to take the 10% in a certain corner.  They come to an agreement and she knows the other 90% will be good.  She does not need pesticides, etc.  She also asks them what nutrients they need and they tell her.  No guesswork.    She has sensational harvests, plants, flowers.  There is no struggle, no wastage, no bad plants or problems most people have because they do not understand how to work with nature.

What she calls "the manifestation process" occurred as part of her learning how to work co-creatively with the realm of nature.  Co-creative, in her use of the word, means the achievement of goals with joint effort between human and devas/nature spirits, with humans and nature working together in mutual respect.  This is not a book about psychic wizardry, it is her life story and the discoveries she made in her co-creative research with nature.

    (2)  MAP:  You communicate directly with beings whose sole purpose is to help humans in their evolution (I've had it work and seen it work),

There are  spirit beings, whose sole purpose [it is said] is to help human beings with our evolution and real needs. By following the instructions in the MAP book we call these beings to us, tell them what is going on and they help us. This work is generally used for problems of a physical (i.e., ill health) nature but it can also be modified for other kinds of issues. A session lasts for approximately 45 minutes, you can do this once a day, once a month, once a week, whenever.

I really love doing MAP sessions.  I get to turn off the phone, lie down, put on an eye pillow, relax and "complain" for 45 minutes and know and feel that I am being listened to and am feeling all sorts of adjustments taking place.  I am not asking another person to heal me, I can really let 'er rip because another person is not listening to me so I don't feel judged,  I am in charge and it doesn't cost anything and it works.

You call in beings whose sole purpose is to help human beings in our evolution.  They help us with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems -- when we ask
them, whatever we ask of them.  In addition to explaining the techniques, the concepts are explained as are healings that have occurred.

To do this you have to get the MAP book -- available in some libraries -- read it, and do it.  Machaelle emphasizes that YOU read it and not rely on someone telling you about it.  Two of my friends have had remarkable results.  One, a massage therapist could feel the work being done on the wrist he broke while riding his bike, the other said he'd found God.

    Eggactly Eggxellent!

The photo below was taken at the farm kitchen in Niagara in March when we went with Bruce Irwin to watch him dowse a well there.   These eggshells are for plants.

You’ve heard of “liming” the garden and lawn, right? Most people buy a bag of lime (calcium carbonate) every few years and sprinkle it throughout the garden. Were you aware that eggshells are 93% calcium carbonate?

In addition to the calcium, the eggshells contain about 1% nitrogen, about a half-percent phosphoric acid, and other trace elements that make them a practical fertilizer. Calcium is an essential plant nutrient which plays a fundamental part in cell manufacture and growth. Most roots must have some calcium at the growing tips. Plant growth removes large quantities of calcium from the soil, and calcium must be replenished, so this is an ideal way to recycle your eggshells.

Crushed egg shells add valuable nutrients to soil. Calcium is essential for cell growth in all plants. Calcium is especially important for fast growing plants because they quickly deplete the surrounding soil of calcium. Egg shells should be washed before you place them in a compose or into your garden.

Make sure you crush the egg shells before you add them to your garden. Egg shells that are not crushed will break down very slowly.

One family saves their eggshells in a pan in their gas oven. The pilot light temperature slowly dries them out. Then they crush them by hand and powder them in the blender. The powdered eggshells are then placed around fruit trees, in potted plants and roses, and broadcast throughout the vegetable garden.

You can also solve your snail problems with the help of recycled eggshells.   Instead of powdering the shells, use them at the hand-crushed stage, with plenty of rough, sharp edges. Scatter the crushed shells in circles around those plants that the snails are eating. Since the shells cause discomfort to the snails, they nearly always retreat and do not cross the shell barriers.

        * Instead of throwing eggs shells away, put them in the bottom of plant pots instead of stones. Egg shells are much lighter than stones and they are a great source of of nutrition.
        * Place egg shells in a circle on top of the ground surface around tender plant stems such as peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage to deter slugs and cutworms.
        * Place egg shells in the soil near tomatoes. Calcium is very useful to tomatoes because the extra calcium will help prevent blossom end rot.

    *                    *                    *                    *                    *                    *
Egg shells can also be used for smallish seedlings and be put directly in the ground for planting.

It is easier to manage them if you keep them in an egg container so if you get egg containers from the grocery make sure to save them AND the egg shells. If you get fresh eggs  then ask a friend to save their egg containers for you.

How to Make Calcium using Egg Shells

Egg shells are one of the richest sources of calcium carbonate and is consumed to overcome calcium deficiency in people of all ages.

Eggshells present healthy, balanced calcium due to trace amounts of other minerals contained in it. Eggshell calcium is probably the best natural source of calcium, and it is easier for your body to digest and absorb. Dutch researchers have reported recently a highly positive effect of eggshell calcium (with added magnesium and vitamin D) on bone mineral density in a scientific study (double blind, placebo-controlled).   Laboratory test and measures of bone density were carefully made in these studies. The eggshell supplemented group had measurable increases in bone density in their hip bones, after one year.

The ideal bone-building combination of eggshell calcium and vitamin D3 was also well documented in Japanese studies. Researchers at the Japan Women’s University, Tokyo studied a combination of vitamin D3 and eggshell powder in animals with osteoporosis. Not only was the eggshell powder with vitamin D3 able to improve bone mineral density, but it did it without significantly increasing blood calcium levels.

You can use any kind of egg (chicken, goose, duck), but it is best to use organic or certified organic eggs from free-range birds. If the bird does not get proper nutrients the eggshells won’t contain the nutrients we need.

One whole medium sized eggshell makes about one teaspoon of powder, which yields about 750-800 mgs of elemental, i.e., absorbable,  calcium plus other microelements, i.e. magnesium, boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, sulphur, silicon, zinc, etc. There are 27 elements in total. The composition of an eggshell is very similar to that of our bones and teeth.

Most people require a minimum of 400 mgs per day of calcium, in addition to calcium from other food sources, so you would take 1/2 teaspoon of the powder per day. Also take 400 mgs of magnesium citrate at the same time. Calcium and magnesium need to be taken in at least equal amounts, and some people require more magnesium than calcium depending upon how much they obtain from their diet.

If you are getting muscle cramps take extra magnesium (about 150 mgs). If that doesn’t alleviate the cramps within an hour take another 150 mgs, and so on. If you get unusual joint pain and you do not have arthritis, take an additional 150 mgs of calcium.   Do not take more than 500 mgs of calcium at one time because your body cannot handle it. If you need more than 400 mgs per day split up the doses during the day.

It is best to take calcium and magnesium with foods to help absorb them.

Remember that vitamin D is very important for absorbing minerals, so have a reliable source for this essential vitamin, including sunlight when available.  In addition, all of the trace minerals, sodium and chloride are important for mineral absorption and to keep minerals balanced so do take a lemon juice and ocean sea salt drink every day (the juice of 1/2 lemon and 1/4 teaspoon of ocean sea salt mixed into 6 ounces of filtered water 6 times a day; 3 with meals to aid digestion).

    How to Make Powdered Eggshells:

       1. Wash empty eggshells in warm water until all of the egg white is removed, but do not remove the membrane because it contains important nutrients for the joints which helps arthritis.
       2. Lay broken pieces out on paper towels and allow them to air dry thoroughly.
       3. Break the eggshells up into small pieces, and grind them to into a fine powder in a food processor, blender, coffee grinder, or a nut mill, or put them in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to grind them. Some blenders will not grind the eggshell into a fine enough powder. A coffee grinder works the best.
       4. Store powdered eggshells in a covered glass jar or container. Keep it in a dry place.

How to take eggshell calcium (this forms calcium citrate):

       1. Put 1/2 teaspoon of powdered eggshell into a small dish (approximately 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 inches across) 1/2 teaspoon equals approximately 400 mgs of elemental calcium.
       2. Add the juice of 1/2 a lemon (freshly squeezed), and mix well it will start to bubble and foam, which is what is supposed to happen.
       3. Cover it
       4. Leave it at room temperature for 6 hours the longer you leave it the less gritty it will be, but do not leave it longer than 12 hours.
       5. It can be taken by the spoonfuls, followed by mouthfuls of water to wash it down. It is not sour tasting. In fact the taste is quite pleasant and you also have some of the benefits of fresh lemon juice.
       6. Also take 400 mgs of magnesium citrate at the same time.

NOTE 1:  Some people like this with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV).  Bee says:  "I’ve made eggshell calcium using apple cider vinegar, and I preferred the taste of lemon juice instead. After allowing the acid (lemon juice or ACV) to work on the eggshell, it won’t mix in liquids. Instead it settles to the bottom and has to be dug out with a spoon. It may be easier to take when mixed with a thick substance, like yogurt or mashed vegetables. I found it easier to take it directly from a spoon, followed by swallows of water. If you are okay with the taste of ACV it will do the same thing as lemon juice. You use the same quantities as lemon juice."

NOTE 2:   When taking supplements, it is usually recommended to take vitamins in the morning and minerals at night.  Minerals are better absorbed when we sleep, and also aid in promoting a better night's sleep.  Calcium is especially known to help with sleep.

GROW!  For your vegetable growing, garden, farm and lawn:
     (A)  Dowse to ask:   Would it be beneficial to grow a certain vegetable or plant to help improve the health of someone in your household?  (pomegranates for the heart, asparagus for tumors, and so on)

    (B)  Pyramids:  Nova Scotia BioDynamics expert, Charles Hubbard is using pyramids in his garden.  Charles says by PROPER use of pyramids, the yield has increased by TWENTY TIMES (not "just" 20%.  TWENTY TIMES!!!)   It is not the substance it is made out of, but the form.  The corners.  Yes, copper is best, and your pyramid can also be made from Brass.  Or Wood.  Or Cardboard.   Or Paper.

    (C)    Do you have a lawn?  Is the same place always sparse of grass?  Are the same spots in the lawn always yellow or brown?   Are there cracks in your driveway?   Cracks that no matter what you do, you can not make smooth?   If you keep trying to treat these areas and they do not "heal", it is probable that this is above an area of geopathic stress.  It's like a sore that won't heal.
What to do:  Say a prayer, or a blessing and intend that the contents of the energy field in that spot be beneficial for as long as you are the keeper of that property.   You might have to "touch it up" every week for a couple of weeks and then once or twice a year.  Check to see if it needs touching up, with your dowsing.

    (E)    Grow Tomatoes Upside Down:  For years now, people have been growing tomatoes -- in buckets -- UPSIDE DOWN!   Check the Directions!  But, Basically, what you do is you make a hole in the bottom of a bucket, fill the bucket with soil, gently place the tomato plant in through the hole, water it and hang it somewhere.
PROS:   At first glance, this might look like an unusual way to grow tomatoes.   The air can circulate better so the plants have almost no disease problems. The fruit doesn’t rot as quickly as that on the ground. Some critters that eat tomatoes have trouble getting to the ripening fruit.
Good for balcony gardeners as it is a very good way to use vertical space.   Some use this for peppers.  Some grow the tomatoes in straw!

CONS:  Purists think it is unnatural for the plant, that a plant needs to be in the ground and grow upwards towards the sun.

You can make a contraption yourself.  There are dozens of internet sites on it.
Lee Valley sells a contraption for $30.
You can buy similar contraptions online for $10-$20 (Topsy Turvy).

    DOWSERS:  GRAB YOUR RODS AND:
CREATE YOUR VERY OWN "ENERGY GARDEN"
I'm lucky I have a strong back on my computer chair.   Got this idea several years ago, typing up the notes from the time Bruce Magill took us to the Peterborough Petroglyphs.   I needed a strong chair back because some elements from this concept struck me as extremely funny and I was laughing so hard I would have tumbled over backwards.   That happens a lot, when these images POP in to my head at 2 a.m. in front of the computer.  It must be a funny time, or, I was getting the energy from Bruce's "Laughing Spot".

Bruce Magill took us to the Peterborough Petroglyphs.   We -- about 40 of us --- were picnicking, in a nice grassy area with some picnic benches.   Bruce told us we can find a  Laughing Spot.   He walked the land, dowsing for a Laughing Spot.  He found one.   He stood over that spot and  riotous laughter bubbled up.   Several of you then stood over the spot and experienced great laughter.  I can still picture Sarah East standing there doubled over, laughing.   I did not.   3 out of the 4 who tried this did.   I was talking with someone about this  out of it came an entirely wonderful new concept:

What burst forth was the concept of "an ENERGYGARDEN".    You dowse and find a:  Laughing spot, a Money spot, a Happy spot, a Quiet spot, an Energetic spot, a Healthy spot, a Peaceful spot, a Playful spot, a Creative spot ...... by the time we were done we had about 30 spots defined.

Dowse for their locations on the land, put something on that spot to mark it.   Then get rocks, maybe paint them --- if the rocks like it,  you have to ask them, first, --- or make designs, somehow, with whatever is appropriate.    To mark the spots.   Dowse to see which rock wants to be on which spot.  Invite some friends over.   See if they can discern the energies.  Do this with kids.

When our friend, Master Dowser JOEY KORN  gave workshops here October 2002 and October 2003, he showed us how to find, and clear, the different spots we would find (he showed us how to do that) whose energy fields would be holding detrimental energy.  For example, if a friend of yours was talking with another friend, and that second friend told the first friend of a tragic death of a person close to them, the first person might experience a trauma.  A traumatic energetic imprint could be left in that spot.  Joey showed us how to detect, and clear these spots.

You could go through your backyard, clear these spots, and then create your ENERGY GARDEN!

PLEASE: CREATE YOUR VERY OWN "ENERGYGARDEN"   And, let me know how it works.  Take photos.  Send it to me for the newsletter.   This can be combined so nicely with ideas we gleaned from so many other speakers.....
Dumber and Dumber and even Dumberer #1:   When our food supplies are threatened, fuel for transporting food is costlier and alleged viruses are threatening the supply of food from other places, AND!   "Everyone" is growing their own  - - - our government increases its consumption of stupid pills, as it is making a decision to:
Canada plans to shut down all prison farms

Across Canada, six federal prisons operate functioning farms. About 300 inmates take part, doing everything from milking cows to fixing equipment to producing food that’s fed to fellow offenders. This summer could be their last harvest: the government recently announced that Canada’s prison farms will be shut down over the next two years. “We determined very few ex-inmates were obtaining work in agriculture,” says Christa McGregor of the Correctional Service of Canada, adding that the CSC spends about $4 million annually on the program.

Some think there are interests who want to purchase the valuable and  great for growing farmland that is currently being used in the Kingston area.

The National Farmers Union is set against it:  Part of a Message from Andrea Cumpson, President, National Farmers Union, Local 316:

"I am writing to ask you to take a few minutes to send a letter to federal politicians to support our campaign to keep Canadian prison farms operating.  We have met with Correctional Services of Canada staff, held a well-attended public forum and a roadside barbeque to draw attention to the issue.  It is apparent that a decision to reverse the plans to close the prison farms will need to come from politicians.

We have a sample letter on our web site  and a list of politicians you might write to expressing your opposition to the federal decision.  For mail no postage is required.  To email a politician on the list, click on the email address then choose the text you prefer for the body of the message.  Include your address for a response.  nfuontario.ca/

The Tuesday, May 19th, 2009 meeting features:

    Dr. Robert J. Gilbert

    "Vibrations of Life,  Health and Spirit;
    New Research & Practical Applications"

Everything in our world is based on specific vibrations, which create (or destroy) life and health.  The key to practically applying all of these vibrations is the Life Energy Spectrum:  the full range of precise vibrational qualities which affect our lives.

Dowsing this Life Energy Spectrum awakens our sleeping energy centers,  and our subtle perception.  It is a vital key to healing living beings and the Earth, and also provides a blueprint for navigating invisible spiritual realities.

Dr. Gilbert has prepared a new, illustrated presentation just for the Toronto Dowsers group.  He will share with us his extensive research and practical developments since he last visited us, over two years ago.

This is the fifth time in six years that Dr. Gilbert has accepted our invitation.  He is considered an extremely special person by everyone who hears him.  If you have not yet had the awesome experience of attending one of his presentations, you definitely want to attend this one.  It will be apparent to you immediately why everyone holds him in such high esteem .

    TOPICS INCLUDE:

    *  Energy Balancing Entire Cities:  Methods used in six recent U.S. Projects

    *  Testing and Antidoting Sources of Toxicity (in Human Beings and in Environments)

    *  Four Key Methods of Vibrational Energy corrections

    *  How to Improve accuracy of Mental Dowsing through Vibrational Energy Entrainment

    *  Dowsing and Applying the Complete ‘Life Energy Spectrum’

    *  The New Vibrational Hologram Technology

    *  Developing a Unified Method to Test and Apply any needed Energy Quality

    *  Creating a new Science of Earth Healing

    *  Training the new ‘Field Wizards’ and ‘Masters of the Net’

    *  Recent German Discovery: 4 Essential Resonances for Earth and Human Healing (beyond the ‘Schumann Resonance’)

    *  Dowsing as a Path of Spiritual Initiation

    *  Vibrational Resonance with Spiritual Planes and human Subtle Bodies

    *  Opening the 3 Centers in the Head needed for accurate dowsing and subtle energy perception

    *  Discerning Spiritual Beings through Dowsing (and how it relates to the “Merkava” Mysteries)

In addition, Dr.  Gilbert is offering 2 workshops:
     May 21/22 & May 23/24
    (1)   SPIRITUAL INITIATION THROUGH DOWSING &
THE ROSICRUCIAN SCIENCE OF SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT
    (2)   HEALING THROUGH VIBRATIONAL DOWSING & RESONANCE
