Hello and Welcome

If You are New to our group, please take this
The first meeting of our group took place September 19, 2000.
We request a donation of $12 for members,  $15  for non members.
New Membership, for Canadian residents is $35 for the first year, $30 for subsequent years.
Membership fees for residents of other countries can be found on the application.
Our  year runs from October 1  to  September 30th
You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings.
Membership fees fund our newsletter and some of our activities.
We do not want anyone to be deprived of our meetings because of financial considerations.
If you require financial consideration, please do speak with Marilyn before the day of the meeting so we can set up an energetic exchange.

IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE  MEETING HAS BEGUN,
PLEASE FIND ONE OF THE REGISTRARS BEFORE YOU LEAVE SO WE CAN COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION.

We ask for your name, address, phone number and email address so we can  inform you of  events, announcements for the a month after your first meeting, to give you the opportunity to know more about us.  After that time, we hope you would like to join us and we can find out more about you.  We publish  a fabulous, lively, energetic, informative comprehensive mostly monthly newsletter that is mailed to you regularly when you become a member.  Our mailing list is not available to anyone outside of our group.

Our meetings take place the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday evenings of the month.  Sometimes we sponsor other activities.  The newsletter, and our web site, will keep you informed as to which evening we meet (it may change depending on the schedule of the speaker or the hall we meet in).  When we have summer activities, they are informal and outdoors.

We don't teach dowsing at our meetings.  If you do not know how and would like to learn, we can help you find a basic dowsing workshop, or direct you to books.   How do you become a good dowser?  You learn from one, and then you Practice!  and Practice some more!

Meetings are set up for those who know how to Dowse, to learn more about the Art and Applications of Dowsing and meet like minded people.  If you don't know how to dowse yet, YES! please do come and start picking up tips and enjoy the ambiance and make new friends.

If you are new to our group, and have questions or suggestions, please first just sit in a meeting and see how things go.  Talk to some of the members.  We have tried many things in the past, some have worked, some have not.  Please check our past newsletters --- which are all online --- to see if we have already done or attempted what you have in mind.  We are becoming a community and developing our own way of doing things and your questions will probably be answered as you go along.  Coming to our meetings on a regular basis is better than watching a soap opera.  What we have in common is that there is a continuous story line and you become familiar with the characters. You may even become one yourself!

Membership applications can be found at our registration desk, or online at:  www.dowsers.info/toronto/register.htm

A Toronto Dowsers library was inaugurated on October 9th, 2001 by Helen Evans and is available to members in good standing and is open during our "schmoozing" time --- before and after our presentations.  It contains books, audio and video tapes. Mici Gold  took over from Helen and now Kathy Therrien is our conscientious librarian. You will find items in our library that are not available in any other place in Canada and in only a handful of places in the US.

A Networking Table is available so you can leave your flyers, cards, etc., of services, products, etc., that you would like to share with the group.  Please take home any left overs at the end of the meeting.

We have refreshments and socialize after the presentation.  Meeting attendees -- you, too -- are encouraged bring dips, sandwiches, finger foods, cookies and other munchies for our après meeting socializing.  We supply the beverages.  Our group has a healthy appreciation of good food.  We are generally ready to go home about 9:30 - 10:00.

The Toronto Dowsers group is run entirely by fabulous volunteers. Become one.
